Anne H. Outwater
Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, United Republic of TanzaniaANNE H. OUTWATER, PhD, RN, received her doctorate in
nursing, and post-graduate certificate in environmental studies from Johns
Hopkins University in 2008. In Tanzania, where she has lived for 30 years, she
is a faculty member in the Department of Community Health Nursing at Muhimbili
University of Health and Allied Sciences. Her research and community service
are showing that violence decreases and health increases when people care for
their ecosystems, earning income and ecosystem services from them. Anne is a
World Learning Advancing Leaders Fellow.
