Dr. Love is currently working as nursing faculty at Southern Crescent Technical College where she facilitates the learning of the associate degree nursing student. She is also an associate professor in an online MSN program. Dr. Love received her PhD in Nursing Education from Capella University and master’s in nursing education from Walden University. She currently serves as a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Committee with the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses. Dr. Love has authored several publications and is currently supporting the Gateway to Hope Scholarship that supports senior level students with the NCLEX-RN examination fee.

Lori received her Associate Degree in Nursing and RN license in 1987, having graduated from Eastern Florida State College in Cocoa, Florida. Lori then went on to complete a Bachelor of Nursing Degree in 1995 and a Masters in Community Health from Independence University in 2001. She obtained her Wound Ostomy Continence nursing certifications in 2004 and a certification in foot care nursing in 2005. She also completed legal nurse and lymphedema management courses. She most currently worked and works in teaching roles such as continuing education and nurse assistant training. Her past roles have served hospitals, long term care facilities, home health agencies, a worker’s compensation company as a clinical reviewer, and the opening and clinical management of an outpatient wound care clinic.
